Who this is for: Motion producers writing precise creative and educational briefs.
What to prepare
- Approved palette and shape references
- Arc radius, stroke and angle family
- Protected text/logo regions and density limit
Copyable creative brief
An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.
Create a 15-second geometric motif study using ARC_FAMILY. Keep radius relationships, stroke treatment and approved colors consistent. State the motif's intended role, such as framing a thought or suggesting an open path, without presenting the abstract shapes as product behavior or measured data. Introduce one seed arc, then repeat it according to REPETITION_RULE. Use a deliberate rhythm and a fixed maximum count or occupied area defined by DENSITY_LIMIT. Preserve QUIET_REGION for supplied text or a logo; no arc may sweep across that region while it is being read. Vary only the approved property, such as angle or position, so the family remains recognizable. Resolve the arcs into a complete resting composition and hold it still. Provide a still reference, the seed geometry and a list of variation boundaries. Do not continue spawning shapes indefinitely or add unrelated particles to fill gaps. If the pattern becomes visually confused, reduce the count or simplify the arrangement before changing the entire motif.
Make it your own
- ARC_FAMILY
- Define seed radius, stroke, angular span and permitted variants.
- REPETITION_RULE
- Choose ordered placement and the property allowed to change.
- DENSITY_LIMIT
- Set a concrete maximum count or occupied region.
- QUIET_REGION
- Identify protected reading and identity space.
Fill a small motif study
An illustrative family uses three quarter-circle arcs with one shared stroke weight and increasing radii. Reveal the smallest, then the middle, then the largest, leaving the center open for a short statement. The open center is a design choice, not a claim about a product.
Adapt the tone
For a composed treatment, use fewer arcs and longer resting intervals. For a more playful study, vary angle within the same family while preserving the quiet region. Compare one changed property at a time so reviewers can identify what creates the different impression.
Correct uncontrolled repetition
If every arc moves at once, stagger entrances and stop completed arcs. If the pattern looks like a chart, remove scale-like labels or clarify its abstract role. If the text region becomes crowded, remove shapes rather than reducing the statement until it is unreadable.
Review checklist
- The seed geometry and allowed variation are explicit.
- Repetition stops at a defined limit.
- Text and logo regions remain protected.
- The final motif works as a still reference.
