Prompt: orbit a labeled abstract model without hiding its structure

Use this prompt when a small camera arc reveals a relationship hidden in the initial view. Bound the move and keep annotations tied to their correct parts.

What to prepare

  • Approved model and part labels
  • Relationship the camera move should reveal
  • Pivot, allowed arc and label-anchor map

Copyable creative brief

An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.

Create a 30-second explanatory camera study around MODEL. State REVEAL_PURPOSE before moving the camera. Use PIVOT and BOUNDED_ARC to reveal only the necessary spatial relationship, keeping the model's main orientation recognizable. Do not orbit continuously merely for atmosphere.

Establish a full overview with PART_LABELS, then move through the approved arc. Keep labels readable using the supplied screen-space lanes or another explicit treatment. Leaders must remain attached to the correct anchors and must not cross unrelated parts. Inspect the midpoint and greatest occlusion, not only the beginning and end. Stop camera movement during dense technical reading.

Finish on a complete view where the revealed relationship and all essential labels can be inspected. If a part becomes hidden or the apparent scale becomes misleading, shorten the arc or use a separate static detail view. Clearly identify an abstract model as illustrative and do not imply measured dimensions without supplied evidence. Include a flat alternative showing equivalent relationships.

Make it your own

MODEL and PART_LABELS
Provide the approved geometry or diagram and exact names.
REVEAL_PURPOSE
Name the one hidden relationship the move should clarify.
PIVOT and BOUNDED_ARC
Define the center and maximum camera movement.
LABEL_ANCHORS
Map each label to its part and protected screen region.

Fill the reveal purpose

An illustrative shell-and-channel model uses a small orbit to show that the channel connects to the rear of the chamber. The camera does not need a full revolution. Keep the chamber label fixed in a side lane and route its leader to the same anchor throughout.

Adapt complex models

For many parts, label only the subset needed for this lesson and provide a complete reference separately. If the relationship can be shown more clearly in a cutaway, use the flat view. Depth should explain structure, not make a conceptual diagram appear physically measured.

Correct occlusion

If a label disappears behind the model, move it to an explicit screen-space lane. If leaders cross, revise their routes or shorten the arc. If the camera never reaches a complete resting view, add that hold before considering more movement.

Review checklist

  • The orbit has one explicit explanatory purpose.
  • Camera movement stays within defined bounds.
  • Labels retain correct visible anchors.
  • The final view and flat alternative preserve the relationship.
