What to prepare

  • Date-control states
  • Metric definition
  • Consistent illustrative dataset

Copyable creative brief

An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.

Create a 30-second illustrative dashboard sequence using supplied before-and-after states. The fictional dashboard counts sample requests. Begin with the displayed period 1–7 September and a total of 8 sample requests. Open the actual date control, choose 8–14 September and perform its real Apply action if required. Show observed pending feedback separately from the resulting dashboard. End with the new period label and a total of 5 sample requests, using only a dataset whose supporting rows agree with those totals. Callouts: “Choose the period,” then “Inspect this example period.” Do not animate every widget at once. Preserve the metric name and any workspace filters throughout. These numbers are invented illustrative data, not customer outcomes or evidence of improvement. Do not claim an instant refresh from the edit timing.

Make it your own

Period pair
Use actual supported ranges and preserve their labels.
Metric
Name what is counted and its scope.
Example values
Keep cards, charts and rows mathematically consistent.

Check the period definition

Supply the product’s actual date labels and confirm which date field the filter uses. Created date and completed date answer different questions. Keep any relevant time-zone or inclusion wording from the real interface.

Adapt to one question

Replace the metric with the one the viewer needs, keeping both periods comparable. For a short cut, show only the period control and focal card, then a small supporting row view. A lower number is not automatically a favorable result.

Repair mismatched data

If the card changes but the period label does not, recapture the correct state. If a chart contains unrelated example totals, remove it from the focused composition or supply a consistent dataset. Do not correct only the visible headline number.

Review checklist

  • The period is readable before and after application.
  • Pending is not labeled complete.
  • The values are clearly illustrative.
