Who this is for: Product teams briefing an accurate and useful update explanation.
What to prepare
- The approved action and authorized role.
- Confirmed deadline with the event it represents.
- Prerequisites, completion check and support route.
Copyable creative brief
An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.
Plan a 30-second action notice for a fictional workspace tool requiring administrators to confirm a setting before an approved transition. Open with the affected workspace condition and the administrator role. State the exact required action using supplied interface labels. Display the verified deadline with its event, such as “Confirm before the transition begins,” and include timezone when the exact time matters. Show the approved prerequisite, action and completion check in order. Do not invent a countdown, penalty or loss-of-access consequence. Keep the deadline readable beside the action rather than flashing it once. End with a reference frame containing owner, action, deadline and help destination. If the viewer lacks the required permission, give the approved handoff instruction instead of showing controls they cannot use.
Make it your own
- Action and owner
- Name the required operation and authorized role.
- Deadline event
- Supply the confirmed date and what must occur by it.
- Completion check
- Define the evidence that the task is finished.
Verify the event behind the date
Distinguish an application deadline, a configuration deadline and the start of a transition. They may not be the same. If timing is still provisional, do not turn an internal target into an external commitment.
Adapt for administrators and ordinary members
The administrator version can show the action. A member version should identify the issue and explain the authorized handoff. Both must use the same deadline and scope facts so they do not create conflicting instructions.
Repair urgency without information
Remove alarming motion that competes with the procedure. If the final frame says “Act now” but does not name the action, replace it with the concrete task. Keep any consequence statement within the approved release record.
Review checklist
- The authorized owner appears before the steps.
- The deadline names its event and relevant timezone.
- Prerequisites and completion evidence are visible.
- Consequences and urgency are not invented.
