Mobile-to-desktop continuity storyboard

Keep the same object recognizable when the device and actor change. This illustrative sequence follows one sample note from mobile capture to a verified desktop review state.

What to prepare

  • Mobile capture and submission states
  • Transfer prerequisites
  • Matching desktop record
  • Review-state evidence

Scene-by-scene storyboard

30-second planning sequence · illustrative copy and visual direction

  1. 01

    0–5s

    Identify mobile context

Show the actual mobile interface labeled Example observer and the sample workspace.

    On screen:Mobile · Example observer

  2. 02

    5–11s

    Capture and submit

Show supplied states for N-012, Sample display note, and the actual save or submit action.

    On screen:Capture the sample note

  3. 03

    11–15s

    Confirm the handoff state

Hold the real sent or transferred status; do not substitute a local draft indicator.

    On screen:Check the transfer status

  4. 04

    15–18s

    Change device explicitly

Use a clear editorial transition preserving the note title.

On screen:Later, in the same sample workspace

  5. 05

    18–25s

    Locate the desktop item

Show Example reviewer on desktop opening the matching title, image and identifier.

    On screen:Desktop · Review N-012

  6. 06

    25–30s

    Inspect or complete review

Show the actual review action and confirmed status, or end at inspection if that is all evidence supports.

On screen:Inspect the same sample note

Make it your own

Shared object
Repeat the same visible title, image and identifier where the real product provides one.
Handoff requirements
Supply actual save, transfer, connectivity or refresh conditions and status labels.
Actors and finish state
Identify both device roles and the verified review or inspection endpoint.

Prepare matching device assets

Supply authentic mobile and desktop screens, transfer requirements and the shared object identity. A desktop image placed inside a phone frame is not proof of mobile behavior.

Adapt the transition

In a wide layout, briefly compare matching thumbnails side by side. In a narrow layout, carry the title through a sequential cut. If a manual upload or refresh is needed, allocate time for it or expand to 60 seconds.

Review the continuity

Verify that the desktop record has arrived rather than merely being a separate similar sample. Preserve prototype labels where applicable. Do not imply real-time synchronization or Animro capture features from the editorial device transition.

Review checklist

  • The same object appears on both devices.
  • Local and transferred states are distinguished.
  • The device and actor handoff is explicit.
