Who this is for: Teams explaining automation settings in their products.
What to prepare
- Rule-builder screens
- Prerequisite configuration
- Matching-event result evidence
Copyable creative brief
An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.
Create a 30-second illustrative rule walkthrough using supplied controls. The fictional rule reads: “When a sample request is submitted, if Category is Design, assign Example reviewer.” Show the trigger, condition and action as separate labeled regions. Save the rule through the actual product flow. Introduce sample event R-053 with Category: Design, then show the observed resulting assignment only if verified. Briefly contrast a Billing-category sample as outside the rule’s condition without fabricating a second execution. Label all records illustrative. State any enabled integration or permission prerequisite. Do not claim unlimited automation, guaranteed delivery or zero setup. This describes automation in the reader’s product, not an Animro automation feature.
Make it your own
- Trigger
- Use the exact observed event type.
- Condition
- Choose one clear matching field value.
- Action
- Distinguish configured intent from verified execution.
Prepare the logic
Supply the actual trigger semantics, available condition and action. Confirm whether the rule runs on creation, submission or later edits; these events are not interchangeable.
Adapt the example
Use a notification or routing action instead of assignment only when supported. Keep one condition in the introductory version. For training, add a clearly labeled nonmatching example to explain why a rule does not apply.
Fix configured-versus-executed confusion
A saved rule proves configuration, not execution. If no result evidence exists, end on “Rule configured” and describe the later event as a planned example. Never animate a completed action merely because the rule looks valid.
Review checklist
- Trigger and condition are separate.
- The sample event satisfies the stated condition.
- Execution claims require execution evidence.
