Who this is for: Motion producers writing precise creative and educational briefs.

What to prepare

  • Approved logo asset and variant
  • Brand clear-space and minimum-size rules
  • Permitted backgrounds and color treatment

Copyable creative brief

An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.

Plan a 15-second negative-space reveal using LOGO_ASSET without redrawing, stretching or changing its letterforms. Use the approved VARIANT and BACKGROUND. Build a temporary CLEAR_SPACE boundary from the supplied brand rule and keep neighboring shapes outside it throughout the intended visible states.

Begin with a composition in which a restrained mask or surrounding shape reveals the logo along REVEAL_DIRECTION. The reveal may uncover the mark, but it must not imply an altered final symbol or substitute a generated wordmark. Keep motion bounded and avoid rapid flashing or repeated inversion. Establish the complete logo early enough for recognition.

Finish on the exact supplied mark at its approved proportions, color and minimum size. Hold the final lockup still. Compare the result with the original asset, inspect the mask edge and check entrance, hold and exit for collisions. If the proposed mask makes the identity ambiguous or violates a supplied rule, propose a simpler whole-mark reveal for approval.

Make it your own

LOGO_ASSET and VARIANT
Identify the exact approved file and permitted color version.
CLEAR_SPACE
Provide the brand's measurement rule, not an invented universal margin.
REVEAL_DIRECTION
Specify one uncovering path and its intended character.
BACKGROUND
Choose an approved surface against which the complete mark is recognizable.

Keep the example asset-neutral

For an illustrative study, use a supplied fictional geometric mark and a mask that opens from its center toward the edges. The mask controls visibility; it does not generate a new logo. Once revealed, compare the final silhouette directly with the approved source.

Adapt to a wordmark

A long wordmark may need a slower whole-phrase reveal so partial letters do not become misleading words. For a compact frame, increase available space before reducing the logo below its approved minimum. A partner mark requires its own protected boundary and relationship approval.

Correct logo distortion

If the reveal stretches a letter, restore the unmodified asset and animate the mask instead. If a decorative arc crosses the clear-space boundary, reroute it or change its timing. If the final logo is only approximately similar, replace it with the exact supplied file.

Review checklist

  • The final mark matches the approved asset.
  • Clear space is protected during the reveal.
  • No geometry or lettering is invented.
  • The full identity receives a stable recognition hold.
