Who this is for: Launch teams translating a specific creative job into a motion brief.
What to prepare
- Approved logo and clear-space guidance
- A small set of interface-inspired shapes
- One supplied product screen
- Exact product spelling
Copyable creative brief
An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.
Create a 15-second name reveal for PRODUCT_NAME using MOTIF_ELEMENTS inspired by the supplied interface. Treat these elements as graphic decoration, not a simulation of product behavior. Do not alter the approved logo's final proportions, spelling or clear space. Begin with a small, orderly arrangement of the supplied motifs. Guide them toward a composition that frames the approved name asset. Use masking or positioning around the asset rather than rebuilding letterforms inaccurately. Let the final mark settle completely before adding the CATEGORY_LINE. Transition from the settled identity to the supplied product screen so the visual language has a practical context. Keep the screen factually unchanged and use one highlight to identify the relevant task. End with CURRENT_STATUS and NEXT_ACTION if the brief includes a closing invitation. Avoid adding unsupported feature icons simply because they fit the visual pattern.
Make it your own
- MOTIF_ELEMENTS
- Use supplied cards, dividers or shapes without implying new controls.
- CATEGORY_LINE
- Describe the actual product task briefly.
- APPROVED_LOGO
- Use the real asset rather than a reconstructed approximation.
- PRODUCT_NAME
- Use exact spelling and connect it to the supplied approved-logo asset.
- CURRENT_STATUS and NEXT_ACTION
- Include only verified access wording and a real destination when the reveal needs an invitation.
Choose a motif with a reason
For a fictional board product, card corners and grid dividers could provide the graphic vocabulary. Their role is to connect the identity to the interface, not to suggest that cards literally transform into a logo inside the app.
Choose a small family of shapes so the reveal remains recognizable.
Adapt the reveal
For a restrained identity, assemble the framing geometry while the mark itself stays stable. For a playful identity, vary the approach paths but keep the final lockup unchanged.
For a 30-second sequence, add a real product action after the reveal only when the necessary source states are supplied.
Correct identity drift
If the generated name differs from the approved asset, replace it with the asset rather than accepting a close approximation. If motifs resemble unavailable features, remove them.
If the reveal takes longer than the product explanation, shorten the decorative phase and preserve a readable identity hold.
Review checklist
- The final mark matches the approved asset.
- Decorative motifs do not invent product controls.
- The category line is accurate.
- The transition reaches meaningful product context.
