Prompt: attach a readable source note to one claim

Use this brief when a scene contains one sourced claim. The source note should qualify the claim while it is visible, rather than arriving as an unreadable afterthought.

What to prepare

  • Exact claim and source location
  • Unit, scope, date and required qualification
  • Approved short source label and complete reference

Copyable creative brief

An authored planning example. Replace illustrative details with your approved product facts and assets.

Plan a 15-second single-claim scene using CLAIM_TEXT only if SOURCE_RECORD directly supports it. Preserve the supplied unit, measured period, population and qualification. If the evidence is missing or does not match the wording, flag the mismatch and omit the unsupported claim; do not substitute a plausible statistic.

Place CLAIM_TEXT in the main reading region and SOURCE_LABEL in a protected reference region directly associated with it. Show any qualification necessary to interpret the claim at the same time as the claim. The source may be quieter in hierarchy but must remain readable at the intended playback size. Keep it visible throughout the claim's hold and any chart interpretation.

Use the supplied evidence graphic without changing values or definitions. Avoid an animated footnote that crosses the frame while the viewer reads the finding. Finish with the claim, qualification and provenance together. Provide the full SOURCE_RECORD in accompanying reference material when it is too long for the composition. Clearly label fictional demonstration material as illustrative.

Make it your own

CLAIM_TEXT
Use exact approved wording with the necessary unit and scope.
SOURCE_RECORD
Supply title, precise location, date and supporting passage or data row.
SOURCE_LABEL
Choose a short accurate label that connects to the full reference.
QUALIFICATION
State exclusions or definitions that materially affect interpretation.

Connect a sample claim to its status

For an illustrative workshop chart, “West: 24 practice pieces” must be accompanied by “Illustrative data.” Do not attach a real institution's source label to invented numbers. For an actual dataset, use the source register to match the exact claim with a real supporting row.

Adapt a long source

Keep the publication title short but identifiable and move the complete citation into supporting page text. Essential limitations stay in the scene. If the qualification is longer than the headline, restructure the claim or split the explanation; shrinking the note does not resolve the information problem.

Correct orphaned evidence

If the source appears only after the number disappears, overlap their readable holds. If the source is a broad homepage, request a precise supporting location. If the claim changes during revision, recheck its support instead of keeping the old note as a decorative credibility cue.

Review checklist

  • The source directly supports the exact claim.
  • Scope and necessary qualifications accompany the finding.
  • The note remains readable throughout interpretation.
  • Fictional examples never borrow real-source authority.
